Embroidery and Print Production Assistant

Owing to continued growth and expansion we are looking for a highly efficient and detail-oriented Embroidery and Print Production Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will be responsible for preparing, maintaining and quality checking all embroidery and printing projects. This role ensures accurate color matching, stock inventory management and compliance with safety to support high-quality production output.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
As a member of Embroidery and Print, you will work alongside the team to ensure the smooth running of the department. You will be trained in all processes, procedures and machinery, together with understanding the importance of time management and communication with departments:
- Building and developing your skill set and knowledge of the embroidery machines
- Utilising your knowledge to tackle projects on a daily basis using the Melco and Tajima embroidery machines
- Learning the processes and procedures of the Kornit DTG printing machine
- Troubleshooting when necessary to enable results in a quick and efficient manner
- Understanding the blanks we offer to our clients and what the Pros and Cons are
- Ensuring the regular maintenance of the machines are kept up to date and recorded
- Understanding the Printavo software we use to manage jobs
- Preparing and completing tasks set by management through Printavo and Google Spaces
- Active learning and training on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, including processes and techniques
- Reporting any concerns or issues in a timely manner to prevent stock loss
- Building great relationships with each department to ensure projects are completed to the company standard
- Be timeframe continuous on all projects to make sure deadlines are met
INVENTORY, STOCK CONTROL & QUALITY ASSURANCE
- Maintaining stock levels, ordering supplies when necessary.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and tracking threads – Embroidery specific
- Minimize waste through efficient sampling and QC check
- Checking proof sheets – making sure artwork is available and there is scope to complete
- Perform quality checks to maintain colour standards and consistency
HEALTH, SAFETY & COMPLIANCE
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working space
- Adhering to the cleaning schedule for each area
- Maintenance of equipment and machinery
- Adhere to all safety protocols regarding handling of chemicals and hazardous materials
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and waste disposal requirement
- Completing all necessary COSSH documents to compile with H&S regulations
DAILY EXPECTATIONS
- Communicating to management of daily output; updates, delays, issues etc
- Ability to lift boxes of blanks (up to 10kg)
- Standing, bending, and moving for extended periods in a production environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to safety and quality
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills
- Problem-solving ability to address colour or print-related issues quickly and accurately
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with production
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting
- Technical training or certification in embroidery or printing – Desirable
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in related industry – Desirable
