Changes to US Import Tariffs & Fees
From August 29th, 2025, new US import rules will apply to all orders shipped into the United States.
What’s Changing?
Previously, orders shipped under the $800 de minimis exemption were not charged import duties or taxes. This exemption has now been removed. From August 29th, all orders to the US will be subject to import duties and taxes, regardless of value.
What Does This Mean for You?
– No hidden charges on delivery – all US import duties and fees will now be calculated and collected at checkout.
– Faster, smoother delivery – because duties are prepaid, orders can clear customs more quickly and without delays.
– Clear pricing upfront – the import fee will be shown at checkout alongside your order total.
Why the Change?
This update is required to stay compliant with new US import laws. By collecting duties and fees in advance, we make sure your order is delivered without surprise charges or failed deliveries at the border.
More Information
These changes are being introduced across all international retailers shipping to the US. We’ll keep this page updated with any further changes.
How It’s Calculated
Tariff fees depend on several factors:
Country of Origin of the products (e.g. UK, EU, China).
Where your order is shipped from (UK or EU warehouse).
HS codes for each product (e.g. cotton t-shirts, vinyl records).
Additional surcharges, customs and carrier processing fees.
This ensures all charges are handled upfront, giving you clear pricing and smooth delivery.
